three themes I see in Old Maids is confession, Ideal, and unhappy, the reason I chose this poem is because the other poem with it did not really belong, it was just a distraction and also the poem was more easy to read, the meaning of this poem is never to wait and do what you can no matter, the reason she wrote it is because she wanted to tell everyone you can marry at any age, "We're too old
by Mexican standards." and the reason I chose this is because I kept hearing this when I was little...so it makes me laugh...
