My High School Life

High school has been such a fun time, especially when I hung out with friends, the teachers I've met were so weird, when I first came to A.C.T. I was always quiet and never talked much, the first teacher I had was a bit of a gamer. the final day I had his class, we had a Halo war on paper. Everything from the first day to the up coming last days of my high school career have taught me that its never a good idea to ignore people, and just follow your heart and set goals, and no matter how many times you fail, theres always a new start waiting to happen.

Shakespeare Sonnet Breakdown

some of the themes I feel in the sonnet is suffering, hopelessness, and boring, the reason I chose it is because it seem to be a challenge and it has something that caught my attention, the meaning is hard to figure out, and I am still trying to figure out, the reason the Author wrote it is because there was someone in his life having problems, "Sweets with sweets war not" and the reason why I liked it was because its a good thin g to know.

three themes I see in Old Maids is confession, Ideal, and unhappy, the reason I chose this poem is because the other poem with it did not really belong, it was just a distraction and also the poem was more easy to read, the meaning of this poem is never to wait and do what you can no matter, the reason she wrote it is because she wanted to tell everyone you can marry at any age, "We're too old

this music reminds me of robin hood, and any movie with knights, its calming to hear and does not disappoint me, it makes life go slow at a steady pace with no problems, the song we are hearing today is such a interesting piece of music, it makes me want to walk outside for hours on end. but I won't want to listen to it all the time.

well to start off the painting is somewhat boring, just to say, but on the other hand it has a peaceful view to it, the structure by the waterfall is a good place for comfort and relaxation, if I had a house that had it I would be outside everyday, just to let my day wash away to start anew. it is a nice painting it makes me feel calm and happy.

this song was just plain weird, the video was even weirder, but it really does not interest me, the song was not much of an interest, because I was just not into the song, but I will not be listening to it in the future. but for some reason this song gave me memories of Marco, and his stories, and his stories are pretty much the best out of all the people here..

All I know about him is he almost conquered the world, but soon failed after his men became ill, from starvation and such, I don't know much of his background, but he was a strong leader and he would have had the whole world if none of his men got sick. so everything I know is about all the traveling he did..

Bosch "Garden of Earthly Delights"

this painting shows me on the first part is, the beginning of life with Adam and Eve, and how things started, the middle part shows me the earth being inhabited by humans and how they got along with the animals, and the final part shows me a strange hell like place where the people from the middle section went after a long celebration. and this whole painting is telling the story of how man fell.

the reason for choosing this song was not my choice and it was given to me as a task, and so the meaning of this song is about the feelings and ideas of freedom, thus the thoughts of this song is about what freedom should be, and I think the reason the song writer wrote the song is because he wanted to get out the message of how freedom should be, my favorite lines of this song is "For the countless confused, accused, misused, strung-out ones an' worse,An' for every hung-up person in the whole wide universe,An' we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.". and my reason I choose these lines is because they had an interesting flow..

the painting looks to me as if someone threw their make-up on to the mirror to hide themselves, and showing the world who they really are, it seems the person in the painting is afraid to show what they are to those around them so he hides away from reality and fades himself ...this painting is just showing what I think is as the hidden truth.

I think we should have a fundraiser to help the people who don't have clean water, also we should make things to spread the word about get money to help raise money, and the song is pretty sweet it makes you think about what would happen if water became a hard thing to get and what would happen to those who live in-land, away from the ocean, ans such, we should all think about helping one and other to get this situation fixed so that we can have clean water to drink if anything should happen.....

the first rule I broke was the cellphone rule...lol..2nd rule I broke was I stole, 3rd rule I broke was lying, 4th rule was using others to do my work, 5th rule was I quit, 6th rule was eating  in class....8I...nom nom nom....7th rule was walking off, 8th rule was spreading rumors, 9th rule was losing my temper....10th was not doing my work....11th rule was playing games, 12th rule was walking around, 13th rule was 666....lol....14th rule was..was..I forgot...through out the year lie...14th rule was my dog ate it, and I turned it in late....3 months later...15th rule was...skipping class..16th rule was, never turning in work...17th rule was horse-playing in the lab...18th rule was falling asleep in class....19th rule was leaving without signing out....20 rule broke...is telling you all these lies and you thinking it was all true...so..I Lied.....

6.) In the light of the Pardoner true motives, as revealed in the "prologue," why is the moral of this tale ironic?

the moral of this tale is people will die if they let their greedy emotions get the better of them, and as always when someone plans to do something to gain more by killing off someone that usually back fires, and instead of one or two people dieing, all three of them go leaving the reader confused...or just laughing at the stupidity..

they may have had different feelings to him depending on what he says, and the pilgrims may have not been cared or they would still have money, they would also have walked away laughing at him. so I would think.....

Ok......well that was the weirdest 3-4 minutes of my life, the song was not as interesting as I read it, the lyrics sound better in my head that have someone sing, the video was pretty annoying just because of the person singing, but other than that it could have been worst...still a good song...

* the narrator's values are if he sees someone who is using their skills for the right thing then he will give them praise, and if he sees someone using their wrongfully then he will speak ill of them, or make strange or weird comments about them...

2. What impression does the narrator give you of the church in his day? Cite details from the text.

*The impression I get from the way the narrator say about the church from his time, is that some of the people who work in the church abuse their power to get the things they want, no matter the cost.

3. What might be a modern equivalent of The Knight? The Squire? The Pardoner? Explain your answers.

*a knight in our time is a soldier, and a officer, and for a squire is a student who is trying to learn something in school, after what he knows what is right, and for a Pardoner now is a person who sings the national anthem or just a person who sings.

4. Imagine how Chaucer would describe a modern day person. Write a character sketch of that person, identifying his or her social role or profession. Use paragraph form instead of rhymed lines.

Gandhi on Tolerance

I think He is trying to say that is, if everyone would study any religion besides their own things between the religions wouldn't occur, and I think it would be possible that all religions would work out together if they would all respect others beliefs, instead of trying to force others into a religion they do not see fit for themselves. the reason I would say that is because almost all the wars that are going on now, are based on religion.

I really didn't get an understanding to any of the 2 poems I just read, but if I would guess I would say that the poem death wants more death, is trying to tell us that no matter what situation you are in someone will help take you out, and that the person or thing causing the problem will be punished in any way possible. that is what I get from this poem...

Chaucer/"Canterbury Tales" Pre-Reading

I expect the story to be a bit interesting, but if it is not then it will be something to think about, and it might get boring in some parts and some parts might get interesting I don't know -_-....think about it the good thing about it is if someone is suffering then everyone else suffers, and a bad thing is everyone has something that will affect everyone...the benefits is that they learn new things about different places and culture, and the harm is that a race could die out...it can happen when some speaks and gets the people to believe him/her, and they think god told them to do something, and they believe the person who told them, and a way to prevent it is tell the people about what is really going on...

I think poetry is somewhat important, because people all over the world has a chance to tell everyone how they feel, and to show the things that they see, and the goals Williams has are still a good way to write poems, and the real true reason to write a poem is to get out the feelings you have before they begin to fade away.

Hmmmm..this song is not worth the wait for the morning, it just killed the mood right now, and the lyrics are alright, but does not cut it, and the beat is just a to calm and peaceful, I must say even though the song killed my morning sorrow, I was happy to here something good to replace the voices in my head. ^_^

Compare and contrast: Beowulf and The Iliad



To start off Beowulf is about a man named Beowulf, who goes to a kingdom to kill a creature named Grendal, which he tries, but is only able to rip the creatures arm


off, and while doing all this Beowulf reason for killing the beast wasn't for money, he wanted the Glory, so in order to get his Glory Beowulf began to kill all the creatures he


could no matter how stronge the creature was. Now on the story of the Iliad, Achilles is trying to take revenge for the death of his best friend, and so he began to kill trojans to

get to the man named Hector who is the one who kill Achilles best friend.


The thing that is similar in both stories is that both Beowulf and Achilles are killing things, and the most part both are trying to reach a goal, that would make them


happy, the diffrence is Stated in the first paragraph, Beowulf Began to hunt down monsters to gain glory, and Achilles Is killing to avenge his friend Patroclus, after being


slaughtered by Hector.


They both have diffrent ways to seek fame and for Beowulf, he seeks monsters and kills them for the Glory, that is the reason he died at the end of the poem, is

The lady in the red painting is getting ready for some kind of gathering , so she is preparing some things to impress the people who she invited.....It takes sometime for the observer to see the table due to the color, which matches the wall, the painting is some what weird, because the painting just has a strange way it was painted, and the painting is a bit interesting to see.

"Last Year's Man" by Leonard Cohen

.....the song is really depressing, the atmosphere that it gives off is just sad, and the lyrics from the song, after I read through them kind of made me feel a bit sad, but other than that the beat was good and I wouldn't recommend this song to anyone who is depressed this would cause to much harm to them, as my teacher stated this song would be great for a depressing scene in a movie.

This song is getting more interesting, I like how it changes for one style to another, the song makes today feel more better even though it started off on the wrong side, it makes me want to stare at the sky for hours on end, also the beats don't bore me like other song beats I would want to keep hearing it all day just to make things more better today..

OK...that was weird.. the song made me laugh for awhile, but if someone would play this song as a Valentine song hopefully they don't get the giggles like some of the students..next to me, the song has a Grease style of rhythm, but other than that the song is just makes me laugh, reason just because the way it sounds, would be interesting just to hear in public...hahaha.

1)Beowulf conveys the youth as hard working and fighting for whats right, and as an old person he conveys a person who will do anything to protect everything he worked for.2)they admire glory and fame, they would be considered as greed also would be considered as envy as well.3)the monsters we have in San Antonio is people who want money even though they are rich, and they don't care how they get it, and they would be politics and so on, the threat they pose is causing families to be forced out of homes, just to build things for themselves.4) pillow-scar-when someone is asleep and thinks there is a person, but it was really their pillow, Cat-boomerang- when you throw a cat off the bed, and that same cat returns from another side.

Relativism---ARE YOU A RELATIVIST? WHY OR WHY NOT?

hmmmm...I think I am relativist, because I don't think much about good and evil, I just tell myself that it could be part of their culture, also if something happened I would say out of it because the person who is being attacked or something may have done something in the past to piss that person off. but really I don't really know if I am a relativist because I still use morals in some situations that I encounter.

they would feel sorry for him, because some of the situations he has gone threw may have lead up to the reason he began to kill, such as being attacked by people for no reason, also he may have been forced out from civilization, and possibly he may have started to kill because he was never near people so he just did understand.

this song really gets you, the lyrics makes you think about how you been living life, and it makes you want to find different ways to live, and also the song makes you think about how things use to be before you came into the equation of life, the song makes me want to change untouchable times, finally it feels like how some of the things in life are. the painting tells me that the person has a sound mind, all it does is show the person with buildings on top of their head, to me it shows a world that has order and peace, and the reason I choose this piece is because it seemed a great interest to me, also the way it looks, such as having structures on top of your head would be weird, just to show you have a sound mind.

The Kiss

The connection I see is he had a good relationship or so and wanted to express it to the world through his paintings, and they will do anything to get a good Idea and would just begin to paint or draw anywhere at anytime, also they would even stay up days on end to complete the painting.
